Journeys: Celebrating our 25th Anniversary
Come with us as we journey into the past and back to the future. Starting at our roots with a concert devoted to Bach and Mozart, then to the upper regions of Norway, using color, sound, and video to bring the listener a northern lights experience, and finally back in time to experience the drama of the story of Judith.

Beginnings
Sunday, October 26, 2025 3 PM
Detrick Concert Hall, PRAx (OSU Campus)
Great Mass in C minor, K. 427 by W.A. Mozart
Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme, BWV 140 by J.S. Bach
To open our 25th year, the Corvallis Repertory Singers returns to our beginnings, performing our first work, Wachet auf, by J.S. Bach, followed by Mozart’s remarkable work, the Great Mass in C minor, a work clearly showing Bach’s influences on Mozart, and like Mozart’s Requiem, includes some mystery.

Candlelight & Carols: Nordic Light
Sunday, December 14, 2025 3 PM
Detrick Concert Hall, PRAx (OSU Campus)
Nordic Light by Erik Esenvalds
Nordic Light, a multimedia work dedicated to the aurora borealis, immerses the audience in the northern lights through the folklore of Nordic peoples. The multimedia symphony combines chorus and orchestra with pre-recorded audio and video projections of storytellers and musicians, as well as film sequences by Norwegian visual artist, Kjetil Skogli.
The chorus returns in the second half of the concert to perform carols of the season.

Judith: Of Resistance and Resilience
Sunday, May 3, 2026 3 PM
Detrick Concert Hall, PRAx (OSU Campus)
Spem in Aliem by Thomas Tallis
Exaltations by Reena Esmail
Songs of Judith by Melissa Dunphy
Luminous Night of the Soul by Ola Gjielo
Our final concert features the world premiere of Songs of Judith, choral music as resistance, a newly composed work in recognition of our 25th year, by internationally recognized composer Melissa Dunphy. The work sets the story of Judith, as set in the Old English dramatic poem. The new work is accompanied by Thomas Tallis’ Spem in Aliem, a towering 40-voice polychoral motet, Exaltations, a double choir set of pieces by southern California composer, Reena Esmail, and Luminous Night of the Soul, a shimmering ode to the resilience of the human spirit, by Ola Gjielo.
